About Me
I'm Noah Chast and thanks for checking out my website!

Currently, I'm a Sports Anchor & Reporter for WOLO-TV in Columbia, South Carolina. My coverage includes the Carolina Panthers, South Carolina Gamecocks, Clemson Tigers, The Masters and every major sporting event in the South Carolina region. Covering high level sports in the South, especially SEC country, has been an incredible experience. Sharing the stories of these talented athletes while feeling the passion of the fan bases is exactly what I enjoy about this field.

In addition to my full time job at WOLO, I am a freelance Sideline Reporter, Host and Broadcaster for the organizations like the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP), Volleyball Association (NVA), and local collegiate teams. In addition to providing both, play-by-play and color commentary, I am a part of the daily pregame show, provide pre and in-game sideline reports, coach/player interviews, and player of the game interviews. I also conduct the post game press conferences and put out most of the content to our social medias.
I'm a former Sports Director/Anchor/Reporter for KTVZ in Bend, Oregon. My coverage focused on high school sports, outdoor sports such as skiing, rock climbing, running, mountain biking, etc., and the broader PNW college and professional sports landscape including the Oregon Ducks, Oregon State Beavers, Portland Trail Blazers, Portland Thorns/Timbers, Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks.

I arrived at KTVZ in December 2020 as a general assignment MMJ. Since that point, I've covered various topics, but have always leaned towards my passion for sports. I started shooting video for our Friday night high school football/basketball show "The Big Playback", before co-hosting and eventually becoming the main host. During the Fall 2022 season, I produced, wrote, and hosted the stations first ever College GameDay-like pregame show live at the field of a highly anticipated match up. The show was recognized for an SPJ Excellence in Journalism award. Following the football season, I produced the station's first ever student-athlete awards show. After seeing my creativity and hard work, station management decided to bring me on as a full time Sports Anchor in January 2022, bringing back a full time sports position for the first time in 5+ years! Allowing me to produce, shoot, write and anchor daily sports block in our newscasts, as well as producing feature reports several times a week.

I am a 2020 graduate from the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications at Penn State, and a John Curly Sports Certificate earner. During my time at Penn State, I was a Sports and News Anchor for Centre County Report (CCR), Penn State News, Penn State Sports Night, CommRadio and The Lion 90.7FM.

While my 2020 CCR time was cut in half due to COVID-19, I was the Sports Anchor on an Emmy-award winning student newscast.

During my collegiate career, I interned and worked at great places like 6 ABC Action News, Penn State Athletics, Penn State Football Video Board, and Must Love Sports LLC.

As a Philadelphia native, I am a die-hard sports fan with an affinity (and constant frustration) with Philly sports. However, I enjoy covering sports from all cities, and find beauty in sports at every level, from high school to an adult recreation league, to professional).

In addition to covering volleyball, I am an active volleyball player and a youth coach. I play indoor, beach and grass volleyball whenever I can. I've coached elite girls indoor and beach team for several years, helping many teams and players qualify for Nationals.
